Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2026

Acceptance of terms

By accessing the Distinct website (distinct.health) or booking an assessment, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use our service.

These terms form a legally binding contract between you and Psychiatric Report Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

Our service

Distinct provides a private ADHD diagnostic assessment service for adults in England. The service consists of a pre-assessment questionnaire, a 60–90 minute video consultation with a GMC-registered consultant psychiatrist, and a written diagnostic report delivered within 7 days.

The assessment is a clinical diagnostic service. It is not a prescription service, a therapy service, or a substitute for ongoing NHS care.

Eligibility

To use our service, you must be: aged 18 or over; currently resident in England; able to attend a secure video call in English; and accessing the service as a private individual (not through an NHS referral).

By completing the eligibility check during booking, you confirm that you meet these criteria. Providing false information may result in cancellation without refund.

Booking and payment

Your appointment is confirmed when full payment of £799 has been received and you have received a booking confirmation email from Distinct. This confirmation constitutes a contract between you and Psychiatric Report Ltd.

Payment is taken in full at the time of booking via our secure payment processor. We do not store your full card details. You may also spread the cost using Klarna at the time of booking. The service fee is fixed at £799 inclusive of all elements described in “Our service” above.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your appointment and receive a full refund if you notify us at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time. To cancel, email info@distinct.health with your booking reference.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in a £150 credit being retained. This credit may be applied to a future booking with Distinct. If you do not wish to rebook, the credit is forfeited. Any remaining balance above £150 will be refunded within 5 working days.

If you do not attend your appointment without notice (a no-show), the full fee is forfeited. Distinct reserves the right to refuse future bookings in these circumstances.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule your appointment at no charge provided you give at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Your first reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice is also free of charge. Subsequent rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice incurs a £50 fee.

Conduct of assessments

Your assessment takes place via secure video call. You are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a private, quiet environment for the duration of the session.

Your clinician reserves the right to pause or terminate the assessment if the environment is deemed unsuitable for a clinical consultation, or if there are concerns about your wellbeing or safety. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule.

Diagnostic limitations

A diagnosis of ADHD (or the absence of a diagnosis) is a clinical opinion based on the information available at the time of assessment. All clinical assessments carry an inherent degree of uncertainty. A Distinct assessment does not guarantee a particular outcome.

If you disagree with the outcome of your assessment, you have the right to seek a second opinion from another qualified clinician. Distinct will provide a copy of your report to facilitate this on request.

Intellectual property

Your diagnostic report is your property. You may share it freely for the purposes described in these terms and in our privacy policy.

The Distinct website, brand, design, written content, and software are the intellectual property of Psychiatric Report Ltd. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use any part of our website without prior written consent.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Distinct is not liable for any indirect, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of our service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email (if you have an account with us) or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of our service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page.
